Jeff Madsen: A Young Holder of World Series of Poker Bracelets

More and more young people are becoming interested in playing poker professionally. What's even surprising is the fact that more and more young poker professionals are becoming more skillful than the older poker professionals.

One good example of this is Jeff Madsen who was born in Santa Monica, California on June 7, 1985. When he was twenty one years old, this young poker professional was able to earn two World Series of Poker bracelets. He joins Eric Froehlick and Steve Billirakis for being recognized as young professional poker players who hold World Series of Poker bracelets.

It was in Los Angeles, California where Jeff Madsen was raised. He is currently obtaining his bachelor's degree in film theory from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He only learned to play poker in college. Nevertheless, his passion for it allowed him to gain enough confidence to try his luck in playing at big poker events. Well, with all the victories that Jeff Madsen has received at the age of twenty one years old, this young poker professional can definitely be considered as one lucky guy.

Jeff Madsen was an active player at the 37th Annual World Series of Poker tournament. Well, his effort in being active has definitely paid off because it was the time when his fellow poker professionals and poker enthusiasts really witnessed his noteworthy skills in playing the game.

In the said tournament, the first event that Jeff Madsen participated in was an Omaha Hi/Lo event wherein he ended up as the third placer, winning US$97,552. Those who watched the event admired the skills of Jeff Madsen, knowing that he was only twenty one years old at that time but he was able to finish third.

Jeff Madsen then joined another event, which was the No Limit Hold'em event, of the 37th Annual World Series of Poker tournament. Well, those who admired him when he became a third placer were left in awe as they witnessed how this young poker professional earned his first World Series of Poker bracelet. The prize money awarded to him totaled to US$660,948.

Poker players and enthusiasts who followed the 37th Annual World Series of Poker tournament probably became the fans of Jeff Madsen as they saw how this young poker professional won his second bracelet just six days after winning his first. On July 20, he joined the tournament's No Limit Hold'em Short Handed game, won first place, and took home US$643,381.

Jeff Madsen has joined several World Poker Tour events as well. Although he has not yet earned a World Poker Tour title, he has already had several money finishes.

Jeff Madsen has achieved a lot at such a young age. We just can't wait to witness what else he can offer in the future.
